Table Card is a free helper on your phone. Photograph the menu or the cart. Fill in how you eat. Copy the prompt. Open Grok (or Gemini). Attach the photo. Get plain English. Then put the phone down and eat.

I used to run kitchens. I’m 68. This is the same habit as photographing the menu — turned into a card you can reuse.

Not a restaurant QR ordering gadget. Not DoorDash. Not a reservation app. Just kitchen-table English so dinner stays dinner.

1. Fill this in (change anything that is not you)

2. Build the prompt

3. Use it

  1. Copy the prompt above.
  2. Open Grok (or Gemini if that is handy).
  3. Paste. Attach the photo of the menu, card, or cart.
  4. Read the answer. Change anything that does not sound like you.
  5. Ask the server or the cart with the words it gave you. Then put the phone down.

It will not taste the food for you. It will not invent safe allergens. If you are unsure, ask the server. Photograph the card — not the people at your table.

Why this exists

Menus still read like novels. Dim sum cards have Chinese characters and price tiers with no dish names. You do not need an AI foodie app. You need ordinary words, a fit for how you eat, and one clear thing to say — then dinner with the people at the table.
